Beretta 92 FS Features
  • Open Slide Design. Open top slide virtually eliminates jamming or stove piping. Allows the user to load the chamber one cartridge at a time should the magazine be lost or damaged.
  • No Glare Finish. Beretta's exclusive Bruniton non-reflective matte black finish is a superior corrosion resistant coating.
  • Automatic Firing Pin Block. The front part of the firing pin is blocked from any forward movement until the trigger is pulled completely back. Even if the pistol falls and strikes the ground, muzzle-down, the firing pin will not strike the primer.
  • Ambidextrous Safety. Easily accessible by the thumb of a right- or left-handed shooter, it is spring loaded so it's either positively "on" or positively "off."
  • Sure, Firm Grip. The front and back of the grip are grooved, and the grip frame is flared slightly at the base to enhance pointing and control.
  • Reversible Magazine Release. Positioned next to the trigger guard for either right- or left-handed shooters. Allows rapid reloading. Magazine drops clear when released.
  • Light Aluminum Frame with Combat-Style Trigger Guard. The trigger guard is squared off and grooved for a firm grip using one or two hands, even when wearing gloves.
  • Disassembly Latch. Conveniently located to simplify field-stripping and maintenance, the latch makes the 92 FS one of the easiest guns to disassemble.
  • Unique Ultra-Safe Design. The safety levers on the slide also function as the pistol's de-cocking levers. When pushed down, the rear part of the firing pin is rotated out of alignment with the front part of the firing pin.

According to a review:
"The Beretta 92F, with its slide mounted combined manual safety and de-cocking lever, is very easy to load and unload in a safe fashion. With the safety on, the slide can be manipulated without the risk that touching the trigger would fire the pistol, because the safety disconnects the trigger. The improved magazine release button makes the reloading of the pistol very swift. The safety levers are also placed on both sides of the slide, a feature that enables left handed users to easily use the Beretta 92F. The magazine release button is reversible, another feature that allows left handed users to make the most out of the Beretta 92F. The Beretta 92F retained the reliable function from the Beretta 92SB; properly oiled, cleaned and maintained it would hardly ever fail to function in a moderate climate. The hard-chromed barrel bore reduces wear and protects from corrosion."

Important Notice: * The Beretta 92 FS is in the possession of a Florida-based Federally Licensed Firearms Dealer. The winner will not receive the firearm directly. Upon winning, the firearm will be shipped by our dealer to a licensed dealer in the winner's state. The winner will have to provide the local Federally Licensed Firearms Dealer with the paperwork necessary to prove that they legally qualify and are capable of taking possession of the firearm. This qualification may include acquiring a state license, submitting to finger-printing and background check and a mandatory waiting period. American Firearms Institute complies fully with all Federal and State firearms regulations and laws. In states that do not allow handgun ownership or in the event that the winner is under 21 years or age or does not qualify to receive the Beretta 92FS, AFI will substitute the firearm with the $920 cash prize.

If in doubt - take the cash!

If there is any doubt about the winners ability to possess the firearm, the firearm will not be turned over to the winner and the winner will receive the cash prize instead of $920 paid by certified funds. If the winner has any doubt about their legal ability to possess the firearm they should request the cash prize equivalent. The cash equivalent price includes the approximate cost of the firearm, dealer transfer fees, insurance and processing. Winners must be over 21 to receive the firearm or over 18 to receive the cash prize, and in the event of winning the Beretta they must comply with all Federal and State firearm laws in their state of residence. The Beretta 92 FS is new in its original packaging and comes with its factory warranty from Beretta USA. No other warranty or liability of any kind is implied or incurred by the American Firearms Institute, it's directors or members or the dealers involved in the transaction.
