Savage Arms

Founded in 1894. As with many sporting goods manufacturers, Savage manufactured weapons for the war effort, in both World War I and World War II. Their primary product in peacetime was (and still is) a lever-action hunting rifle, although they produce arms for other activities such as law enforcement.
